The Polk County Court in Osceola is currently accepting applications for a half time Assistant Clerk I. This is a responsible clerical position involving a variety of duties under the supervision of the Clerk Magistrate including data entry and processing case filings. Qualifications include experience enabling an individual to know laws, procedures, policies and operations of the county court; typing and computer skills; the ability to follow oral and written directions; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and the ability to implement decisions effectively; and the ability to run a digital recorder and enter case information in the courtroom. The ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required. The ability to travel to work in other county courts may be required. On the job training in the use of JUSTICE (the statewide court computer system) will be required.
