The Nebraska Supreme Court has extended the deadline for completion of training for guardians ad litem from April, 2007 to January 1, 2008.
The Nebraska Supreme Court adopted Guidelines for Guardians Ad Litem for Juveniles in Juvenile Court Proceedings to ensure that the legal and best interests of juveniles in dependency and abuse/neglect proceedings initiated under the Nebraska Juvenile Code are effectively represented by their court-appointed guardians ad litem.

GAL Training Schedule/Registration Information
Registration and schedule information is now available for mandated training for guardians ad litem in abuse and neglect cases. Information is available on the Web site of the Through the Eyes of the Child Initiative.
