Charlotte Griffith

I come to mediation from 31 years in the field of education with 25 years in the classroom and 6 years as an elementary guidance counselor. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Elementary Guidance. Additional experiences during my years as a counselor include leading support groups for children of divorcing parents, teaching parenting classes, and teaching responsible decision-making classes for the Platte County Youth Diversion Program. I also served as a presenter locally twice and at the State Counseling Association once on the topic of Teaching Social Skills to Children. Recognitions during my years in education include being chosen as Columbus Public Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year in 1995 and being a finalist for Nebraska Teacher of the Year in 2002. When I retired in 2006, I became a CASA volunteer. My training and work with CASA gave me additional experience with children from dysfunctional families and the workings of the court system. I also bega
