Judge Foster






Lancaster County Court Judge Jim Foster, one of the first users of the ‘Docket’ application through JUSTICE, enters information “real-time” into the JUSTICE computer system.


The Information Technology Office is responsible for developing long-range plans and programs related to overall policy directions and organizational goals and oversees the development, integration, and maintenance of the Nebraska Supreme Court’s information technology systems.

Projects include the  Judicial User System To Improve Courtroom Efficiency (JUSTICE) System and the Nebraska Supreme Court Network – a network which connects the Supreme Court Justices and staff, Appeals Court Judges and staff, Clerk of the Supreme Court, Reporter of Decisions Office, Administrative Office of the Courts, and the Office of Probation Administration.  The staff (Network Administrator and a Computer Support Technician) supports over 200 devices in 10 locations across Nebraska.

There are two Supreme Court Committees which assist in the planning and development of projects for the Information Technology Office - the Automation Advisory Committee and the Supreme Court Technology Committee.  To find a current membership listing of court technology committees, click on the underlined committee name.
