David Urbom to Serve as District Court Presiding Judge for the 11th Judicial District in  2012

Judge David W. Urbom has been named District Court Presiding Judge of the 11th Judicial  District (Arthur, Chase, Dawson, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Hayes, Hitchcock, Hooker,  Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Perkins, Red Willow, and Thomas Counties) beginning  January 2012.

Judge Urbom was nominated by his fellow district court judges to fill the  leadership position. Judge Urbom has served the district court in the 11th Judicial District since taking the bench in  January 2006. He serves on the Nebraska Supreme Court Forms Committee as a judicial liaison  to help ensure the legality and appropriateness of District Court forms. He also participates in  committees of the Nebraska District Judges Association.

As presiding judge, Urbom has will oversee the delivery of district court services within the 11th  Judicial District and will serve as the liaison to other agencies of local and state government for  the courts of the district and to the Nebraska State Bar Association.
