February 4, 2013, Application Deadline Set for County Court Judge Vacancy, Seventh Judicial District

LINCOLN -- According to Supreme Court Justice Michael McCormack, the Judicial Nominating Commission for County Judge in the 7th Judicial District (consisting of Antelope, Cuming, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, and Wayne Counties) will hold a public hearing in District Courtroom No. 4, Madison County Courthouse, 1313 N. Main St., Madison, Nebraska, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013. The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy is Madison, Madison County, Nebraska.  At the hearing, the Commission will receive information on the qualifications of candidates to fill the vacancy in the office of County Judge due to the resignation of the Honorable Richard W. Krepela.

The public is welcome to attend the hearing and present information concerning candidates for the judicial opening. Individuals interested in applying for the position can obtain a Judicial Vacancy Application package from the Nebraska Judicial Branch Web site at http://supremecourt.ne.gov/5014/judicial-vacancies-and-judicial-nominating-commission-information. Completed applications may be submitted electronically or by hard copy and must be returned no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013.
