Interpreters in the Courtroom / Intérpretes en tribunales

English is the official language of the courts.  The translations on these pages are provided to assist you in preparing for court. If you need help communicating in English in the courtroom, an interpreter will be provided at no cost to you.  Please inform the court of your language needs as soon as you receive your court date, so that a qualified interpreter can be scheduled to assist you.
           
Inglés es el idioma oficial en tribunales. Las traducciones en estas páginas sirven para ayudarle a que se prepare para su comparecencia ante tribunales. This web page has information to help you represent yourself in Nebraska Courts in certain types of court cases.

Some cases are designed for you to represent yourself.  Those are:
            Small Claims (where you may not be represented by an attorney)
            Protection from Abuse and Harassment Orders

Algunos casos están diseñados para que se represente usted mismo, estos son:

Other cases may be so complicated that it would be better to have a lawyer represent you. You are always allowed to represent yourself in court.

• Nebraska State Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project.  The Volunteer Lawyers Project is a Statewide volunteer legal services project and referral network founded on the belief that all citizens should have access to the legal system, regardless of ability to pay.
