Judicial Law Clerks Share Experiences with Creighton Students

Capitalizing on the audience of law students gathered at Creighton for Supreme Court arguments on April 3, 2024, Court of Appeals Judge Francie Riedmann assembled a group of current and former law clerks to discuss the positions of judicial law clerk as an alternative to immediately entering trial practice after law school graduation. While all on the panel were affiliated with the state appellate system, Riedmann underscored that opportunities also exist in numerous trial courts and the federal court system. The clerks detailed their interview process and expectations of the job. Those who have moved from the Court touched on their career trajectories post-clerkship.
